Why Progress Matters
Progress starts with access. When more people have the same opportunities, we all work better. But across sport tech access to visibility, leadership and opportunity is still unequal. We recognise that there is a significant gender gap across the industry and we are committed to playing our part in helping narrow it.
Our research into the experience of women in sport tech highlighted the importance of representation, community and inclusive working environments in helping more women advance within the industry – reinforcing the need to open up pathways and increase visibility.

of women believed that visibility of women in senior roles was one of the three most important considerations for gender inclusivity within an organisation.

of women said they were part of a network for women working in the industry.

This research identifies the barriers women face in sports technology and offers strategies for businesses to overcome them. It shows that inclusive practices are not only the right choice but also important for driving business success.

Created to spotlight the lesser-seen side of sport technology, SheSportTech shared inspirational stories and guidance from role models already working across the industry, helping more women explore where a future in sport tech could take them.
